Line and color have been present in my life since I can remember. When I was little I used to refuse to go out and play with my friends so I could stay at home drawing. (That or reading comics, my other passion at that young age)
When I was 16 I got my first job (a big one!). I had to draw 30 figures with different black and white outfits, for a campaign introducing a new textile material manufactured by a large company called Celanese. They paid me 300 dollars.

I will never forget.

Then the way was clear. I studied Graphic Design at the best school in my city, I graduated, I went to England where I studied graphic techniques and met my husband and since then I have worked non-stop.

I have dedicated most of my working life to graphic design and through it I have met wonderful people with wonderful dreams that I have helped shape and make come true.

I have designed logos, books, brands, brochures, posters and more. For offset and digital printing.
I have illustrated ideas of my clients and myself; created children's books, illustrated some stories and invented others. Again, traditionally using pencil, ink and brushes or digital illustration using my Mac computer.

As an artist I could say that I am a painter and a kind of sculptor. When I paint I'm not working for a client, I just let myself go and enjoy the movement... The same when I write my silly poems.
I forgot to mention what you usually mention in biographies: My name is Gisela Sánchez Tinoco (Gisati abbreviated) I am a woman. Latina. Venezuelan by birth and naturalized Costa Rican.

Nice to meet you.
